Born 1970 in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from Chicago School of Violin Making in 1993. He has previously worked at Kenneth Stein Violins in Chicago, Thomas Metzler Violin Shop in Los Angeles, and as Master Luthier at Izuta Violin in Fukuoka. Neo Tokyo Strings opened in Tokyo in 1996 to further pursue building and repairing of Violins, Violas and Cellos. He is the son of Violin maker/ Luthier: Shinichi Izutsu.
Now accepting students interested in violin making. Students will get to build their own violin with select items in a small class setting. Please contact to further discuss details if interested in Viola and Cello making.
